Michelangelo drawing of a foot to be auctioned at Christie's

A 500-year-old Michelangelo drawing of a foot, potentially worth $2 million, will be auctioned by Christie's next February. The five-inch red chalk sketch, "The Libyan Sibyl on the Sistine Chapel ceiling," was recently rediscovered by a Christie's specialist after being privately held for centuries. This newly found work is one of few surviving red chalk drawings by Michelangelo, with most of his studies now housed in institutional collections.
