Miami airport seeks bids for terminal expansion
Miami International Airport officials are reviewing proposals for a $600 million expansion of the South Terminal to accommodate more domestic flights. The project aims to add six new gates. The Miami-Dade commissioners will vote next week on two design-build proposals for the South Terminal expansion, which will include the demolition of Concourse G. The expansion is needed to meet increasing passenger traffic. The expansion, including the construction of Concourse K, is expected to take approximately four years. The project is part of a larger plan to modernize and increase capacity at MIA.
