Mets sign veteran reliever Dylan Covey to one-year deal

The New York Mets have signed veteran reliever Dylan Covey to a one-year contract. This marks the team's first move of the offseason. Covey, 33, had a 2.66 ERA in 20 1/3 innings across various minor league teams this year. He last played in the majors with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2023. In his five major league seasons, Covey has a record of 7-32 and a 6.18 ERA. He has also pitched in Taiwan from 2021 to 2022.
