The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported a 10.62% drop in Metro Manila's crime rate in December 2024, with total crimes decreasing from 10,323 in November to 9,227. Focus crimes fell by 11.94%, with notable declines in murder and motorcycle theft. Despite the overall decrease in crime, the clearance and solution efficiency rates slightly declined. The NCRPO arrested 1,248 wanted persons and seized significant amounts of illegal drugs and firearms during December operations. Additionally, the NCRPO conducted 900 operations against illegal gambling, arresting over 2,200 individuals. They also enforced local ordinances, issuing over 6 million citations and collecting substantial fines.
