Meta updates Ray-Ban smart glasses with real-time translation and music identification features

Meta has updated its Ray-Ban smart glasses with new AI features. Users can now translate conversations in real time and identify songs using Shazam. These updates were introduced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the Connect 2024 conference. The glasses can provide live AI assistance, offering suggestions based on the user's surroundings. This feature lasts about 30 minutes before needing a recharge. Currently, live AI and translation features are available only to members of Meta’s Early Access Program in the U.S. and Canada. Other tech companies are also developing smart glasses. Google and Samsung recently announced a new Android XR operating system for similar devices, which will include AI capabilities and instant camera translation.
