Met Police coaches minorities for promotions
The Metropolitan Police is providing specialized workshops to ethnic minority and female officers to improve their chances of promotion within the force. These workshops offer coaching and support, excluding white male officers, raising concerns about potential reverse discrimination. A police source expressed worry that thousands of white male officers may be disadvantaged by this policy. This initiative follows similar controversies in other police forces and is part of the Met's broader strategy to increase representation of ethnic minorities and women. The Met says this is to better serve Londoners.
