Met Office warns of snow and strong winds as Storm Éowyn approaches UK

The snow may cause temporary blizzard conditions, particularly in northern regions. Transport disruptions are likely, affecting roads and railways across Scotland, North West England, and Yorkshire. The snow will begin in the early hours of Friday, moving northeast throughout the day.
