Memphis celebrates over 2,500 graduates' achievements

The University of Memphis held its spring commencement ceremony on May 10, awarding degrees to over 2,500 graduates, including undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students. The ceremony, held at the FedExForum, featured Ben C. Bryant Jr. as the commencement speaker. Two graduates, Tabatha Riquelme and Evan Erickson, overcame significant challenges to earn their degrees. Riquelme, an immigrant, overcame language and financial barriers, while Erickson completed his degree remotely after a chronic illness diagnosis.
