The family of Amanda “Mandy” Karolkiewicz, 39, and her six children, all killed in a July 24 murder-suicide, has announced a public memorial service. The event will be held on Monday, Aug. 24, at Harvest Vertical Church in Grand Haven, Michigan. Police say Mandy’s husband, Kristopher Karolkiewicz, fatally shot her and their children—four boys aged 15, 12, 11, and 5, and two girls both aged 11—before taking his own life. The family welcomes all attendees, in person or via livestream, and requests no photos or recordings on church grounds. The service begins at 11 a.m. at 12900 US-31, with a livestream available on Systema Funeral Services’ website. Contributions can be made to the Mandy Karolkiewicz Family Foundation, and family spokesperson Emily Jones emphasized the service aims to reflect how the victims made everyone feel they belonged.
