Melaka Chief Minister rejects Dr Akmal's resignation, keeping him as exco member

Melaka Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh rejected Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh's resignation as a state executive councillor. Dr Muhamad Akmal, who is also the Umno Youth chief, is expected to continue his role as chairman of the Rural Development, Agriculture, and Food Security Committee. His resignation was submitted in January, reportedly in response to pressure from DAP leaders regarding his stance on the Unity Government.
