Measles vaccine clinic at Leamington hospital Friday

Erie Shores HealthCare will host a measles vaccine clinic on Friday for unvaccinated individuals exposed to the virus. The clinic will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Leamington hospital. The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit recommends vaccination for those exposed at the Erie Shores Walk-in Clinic on Tuesday. Exposure occurred between 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the main entrance and waiting room. Visitors must call the emergency department before entering to limit exposure. Pregnant individuals or those with weakened immune systems should contact the health unit for additional treatment options.
