Meal voucher values increase in Romania to 50 lei

Meal voucher values in Romania will increase from 40 to 50 lei per day, benefiting all employees. This increase, agreed upon by unions and employers, is expected to take effect January 1, 2026. Employees will receive up to 1,050 lei monthly for meal vouchers. Meal vouchers are a form of value ticket employers can provide monthly to employees, regardless of full-time or part-time status. Previous increases have outpaced inflation.
