Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods have made significant earnings from the new golf league, TGL, which aims to modernize the sport. The first season saw Atlanta Drive GC winning the championship and taking home a large prize. Atlanta Drive GC received nearly £6.95 million ($9 million) after defeating New York Golf Club in the finals. The runners-up earned about £3.48 million ($4.5 million) for their efforts. Woods and McIlroy, who played in the tournament, also benefited financially. Woods earned approximately £338,883 ($437,500), while McIlroy took home around £290,606 ($375,000).
