MCD pilots cashless, server-linked parking fee collection at five Delhi sites

Delhi's municipal corporation will pilot a cashless, server-linked parking fee system at five sites to prevent overcharging, with receipts generated from its central server. An MoU with a multinational bank is due next week. Contractors will use MCD-provided POS machines linked to the central server, calculating ₹20 per hour and issuing digital receipts automatically. The pilot, part of a shift toward cashless collection, may expand to all 408 MCD-managed sites. It follows complaints of attendants charging above approved rates.
