Tropical depression Maymay weakened into a low-pressure area, but the enhanced southwest monsoon is bringing heavy rainfall across parts of the Philippines on Friday. Pagasa said Typhoon Dolphin, outside the Philippine area of responsibility, is enhancing the southwest monsoon. Heavy rainfall warnings are up for Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro, with orange warnings including Metro Manila. The residual low-pressure area east of Isabela is expected to dissipate and merge with Dolphin's trough. Dolphin is moving toward mainland China and will not enter Philippine waters.
