Matt Lanter reflects on life after emergency surgery
Matt Lanter, known for his role in "90210," recently shared a personal story about his emergency abdominal surgery three years ago. He experienced severe stomach pains, which were initially misdiagnosed as food poisoning. Lanter reflected on this tough experience in an Instagram post. The 41-year-old actor described how he ended up in the hospital after telling his wife that he couldn’t bear the pain any longer. After being given pain medication, he was admitted again and started receiving strong pain relief. He mentioned feeling anxious when he was forced to swallow a tube for medical reasons. Lanter spent three days in the hospital before doctors discovered he had a small intestinal blockage. He explained that the blockage was caused by scar tissue squeezing his intestine, preventing normal digestion. Fortunately, the surgery to fix the issue went well, and he was able to recover. Lanter noted that he was lucky to have the surgery when he did. He could have been in serious danger if he had waited longer. In his post, he expressed gratitude for being alive, for his family, and for being able to watch his daughter grow. His wife, Angela, played a crucial role in ensuring he got the correct diagnosis. Many fans and friends supported him on social media, celebrating his recovery.
