Massachusetts spa owner charged with smuggling counterfeit Botox and illegal injections

A Massachusetts spa owner, Rebecca Fadanelli, has been charged with smuggling counterfeit Botox and other drugs into the U.S. and administering thousands of illegal injections at her spas in Randolph and South Easton. Fadanelli allegedly imported these counterfeit products from China and Brazil since March 2021, earning over $900,000 from clients. She falsely claimed to be a nurse, despite only being an aesthetician without the proper licenses to administer such drugs. Federal authorities conducted a raid related to the case, and Fadanelli is set to appear in court. The charges could lead to significant prison time and fines if she is convicted.
