Maryvale Prep seizes IAAM A lacrosse title
Maryvale Prep won the IAAM A Conference girls' lacrosse championship, defeating Archbishop Spalding 7-5, marking their first title in two decades. Junior Lainey Minderlein scored five goals, including the game-winner. Minderlein's performance included an unassisted goal to break a tie late in the game, securing the victory for the fourth-seeded Maryvale. Spalding, the second seed, was held to a season-low five goals in the loss. The win was a significant moment for Maryvale and coach Brian Reese, whose daughter Camden plays on the team.
