Manresa crime: minor on supervised release for attempted homicide among two arrested

One of the minors arrested for the Manresa crime was under supervised release for an attempted homicide, while both detainees had prior records but the fatal stabbing is unrelated to those cases. Following Monday's crime, a judge ordered closed-regime internment for both this week, plus therapeutic treatment for the fifteen-year-old. He was held from early May to late July, then under supervised release since August during ongoing proceedings for April's robbery and attempted homicide. The sixteen-year-old had no active measures but two pending cases: a January violent robbery and a late June vehicle theft and unlicensed driving. The violent death of Carles Vilajosana has shocked the region and sparked racist messages and protest calls, though Interior Minister Núria Parlon clarified both arrested youths were born in Catalonia. Police continue investigating possible additional involvement in the fight between two groups of four or five people.
