Mandaue dengue cases rise 6.8% in July 2026; Tabok leads

Mandaue City reported a 6.8% rise in dengue cases as of July 2026, recording 373 cases and one death from January to July, prompting intensified prevention measures. The Mandaue City Health Office said this is a 6.8% increase over the same period in 2025, which had 520 cases and three deaths for the full year. Children aged one to 10 accounted for 38 percent of infections. Tabok had the highest share of cases at eight percent, followed by Alang-Alang and Cabancalan. Health officials urged residents to destroy mosquito breeding sites and practice the 4S strategy.
