Man saved baby from fire in Greater Manchester flats

A fire broke out in four flats in Heywood, Greater Manchester, on Thursday afternoon. A man rescued a five-month-old baby by tucking the child into his boxer shorts and jumping from a first-floor window. Three people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The fire caused significant damage, including the roof of the building collapsing. Fire crews responded quickly, evacuating nearby residents. Firefighters used jets to extinguish the blaze and are still on the scene to address any remaining hot spots.
