Man pleads guilty to federal charges for firebombing Winton Hills grocery store

A man has pleaded guilty to federal charges for throwing a lit gasoline bottle into a grocery store in Winton Hills, causing significant damage. Donald Donatelli, 28, agreed to a plea deal, admitting to malicious damage while other charges were dropped. The incident occurred in November 2023 when Donatelli threw the incendiary device into Tree Top Grocery while it was open. Co-owner Fesseha Tesfatsion was present during the fire, which caused $300,000 in damages. Angela Schweitzer, 35, who allegedly filmed the act, faces multiple charges, including aggravated arson. Donatelli's plea deal may result in a sentence of about five and a half years, plus supervised release.
