Man in India fatally stabbed by his own rooster during cockfight preparation

A man in India was fatally stabbed by his own rooster while preparing for an illegal cockfight. Thangulla Satish, 45, was fitting the bird with a three-inch blade when it panicked and slashed him in the groin, causing severe blood loss. Satish died before reaching the hospital in Lothunur, Telangana. Police Inspector B. Jeevan confirmed the attack, and the rooster was taken into custody as potential evidence. Police launched a manhunt for 16 other organizers, who could face manslaughter charges. Cockfighting has been banned in India since the 1960s but remains culturally significant in southern states. Similar fatal rooster attacks have occurred in Andhra Pradesh, Rajavaram, and West Bengal in recent years.
