A 26-year-old man has been charged with a firearms offence after police found a suspicious item in a flat in Clydebank's Overtoun Court. The Royal Navy bomb squad safely detonated the item after evacuating residents and halting train services through Dalmuir Station. Train disruptions affected routes through Partick and Hyndland. Police were searching the flat as part of an investigation into a man's unexplained death nearby. Authorities stated there is no evidence linking the item to that investigation. Residents were allowed to return home early Tuesday morning.
