Man charged with cheating farmer over false job promises in India

A man has been charged with cheating a farmer by promising jobs for his children in the Forest Department. Veeresh K.P. posed as a close associate of the Forest Minister and took ₹6 lakh from P.H. Adavi in December 2023. Adavi was told to apply for the forest watcher position, but after following the instructions, he did not receive the job. Attempts to contact Veeresh were unsuccessful, leading Adavi to file a police complaint after more than a year.
