Man arrested near Delhi airport in principal murder case in Uttar Pradesh

A 31-year-old man named Amir was arrested near IGI Airport in New Delhi for the murder of a principal in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. The principal, Yogendra Bahadur Singh, was shot on October 2, 2023, while driving to college. Amir was identified as one of the assailants and had been hiding since the murder. He was captured on January 9 while attempting to flee to Mumbai. Police stated he confessed to being hired for the killing as part of a revenge plot. Five other suspects have been arrested, including the main conspirator, Saurabh. Another suspect, Junaid, remains at large. Amir has a criminal history, having been arrested previously for various offenses.
