Man airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after Surrey house fire

A house fire in Surrey, B.C., resulted in a man in his 20s being airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The fire, which occurred Friday evening, involved a reported explosion prior to firefighters' arrival, causing significant structural damage to the home. Two other individuals were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. Twenty-five firefighters responded to the incident. The Surrey Police Service is investigating the cause of the fire.
