Malayalam film lab veteran Sudheer Chitranjali dies at 70 after 34-year career

Veteran Malayalam film processing technician P Sudheer, known as "Sudheer Chitranjali," has died at 70 after a battle with cancer, ending a 34-year career at Chitranjali Studio where he processed over 400 films. Sudheer served the state-run studio from its 1980 inception until his 2014 retirement, rising from lab technician to Chief Lab Technician and Film Officer. His color grading expertise was trusted by directors like Adoor Gopalakrishnan and G Aravindan, and he helped the studio win national and state awards. His funeral was held in Thiruvananthapuram, with the Sanchayana ceremony set for September 10. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and son-in-law, cinematographer Raji Prasad.
