Major hotel chains exit Yandex Travel over commission hike

Major hotel chains have stopped selling rooms on Yandex Travel due to a commission increase from 15% to 17%. This action affects over 50,000 hotel rooms. Several prominent hotel operators, including Azimut Hotels and Accor, have removed their properties from the platform. The commission hike, effective February 1, was implemented despite industry appeals to reconsider. Yandex Travel cited rising operational costs for the change and stated they are open to negotiations, while hoteliers are willing to return if terms are revised.
