Madurai district opens registration for jallikattu players and bull owners

The Madurai district administration has announced registration for players and bull owners for upcoming jallikattu competitions. The events will take place over three days, starting January 14 in Avaniyapuram, followed by Palamedu on January 15 and Alanganallur on January 16. Registration will open on the madurai.nic.in website from 5 p.m. on January 6 to 5 p.m. on January 7. Players and bull owners must register during this period. Each bull can only participate in one event and can be accompanied by its owner and a trainer. Registered participants will receive tokens after their details are verified by the district administration.
