Macross anime series to stream in North America starting January 13

The iconic anime series Macross will soon be available for streaming in North America after years of rights issues. Starting January 13, several Macross sequels and spin-offs will be accessible on Hulu. Previously, Macross faced significant distribution challenges due to a 1980s agreement that limited its release outside Japan. Fans were frustrated as most sequels remained unavailable for decades. In 2021, a new agreement between Harmony Gold, Big West, and Studio Nue was announced, allowing for global distribution.
