Mackinac Bridge Authority auctions vintage steel grating to fund maintenance

The Mackinac Bridge Authority is auctioning seven pieces of original steel grating from the Mackinac Bridge. Each piece measures 5.5 by 38 feet and weighs about 2 tons. Bids currently range from $1,025 to $2,525. The seller will cut the grating for easier shipping and assist with loading, but buyers must handle transport.
