A Lyon drug trafficker, facing a 20-year sentence for kidnapping, has been released from prison pending his trial. A procedural error led to the 23-year-old's release. The man was awaiting trial for the violent kidnapping and sequestration of a young woman in Montpellier in 2022, believing her boyfriend stole drugs. The court of appeal in Montpellier ordered his release on Tuesday, May 6th. The trial date is not yet set.
