Lyon bus drivers protest pay cuts and fragmented schedules
Around fifteen employees and union representatives from Courriers Rhodoniens Lyon (CRL) staged a protest at the Pierre-Bénite depot on Friday morning, denouncing deteriorating working conditions including reduced bonuses and fragmented schedules. The workers, formerly based in Mions, say conditions worsened after the July 1, 2025 acquisition by the Galéo group, which took over two activities from historic operator Berthelet. Employees specifically cite the loss of certain benefits since the ownership change. The mobilization highlights ongoing labor tensions following the transfer of Berthelet's operations, with staff at the Genas site now operating under the CRL name and facing what they describe as a significant decline in workplace quality.
