Lundin Mining found huge copper, gold, silver deposit in Chile
Canadian miner Lundin Mining announced the discovery of what it claims is one of the world's largest deposits of copper, gold, and silver. This finding significantly boosts the company's mineral resources. The discovery, located in the Vicuña district on the Chile-Argentina border, includes 13 million tons of measured and indicated copper resources, along with substantial gold and silver reserves. The company highlighted the high-grade nature of the deposits, promising efficient mining operations. The company plans to release a technical report in early 2026 outlining the development of the mining complex. The discovery is considered the largest greenfield copper find in the last three decades.
