Ludhiana's Smart City projects face delays as March deadline approaches

Ludhiana's Smart City mission projects may not meet their March deadline due to slow progress. Key projects, including a 24x7 water supply and waste management initiatives, remain incomplete after nearly five years. Officials plan to transfer funds to avoid further delays. However, challenges persist, such as contractor withdrawals and shortages of materials and skilled labor, which hinder timely completion. Despite these issues, the Municipal Corporation's commissioner stated that some projects will finish in January and February. The MC has utilized most of the Rs 959.25 crore allocated for the mission.
