The Lucknow Municipal Corporation collected Rs 35,000 in fines from seven individuals for not having proper pet licenses during a campaign on Saturday. The operation took place in Bangla Bazaar, Khazana Market, and LDA Colony. Seven pet licenses were issued during the campaign, and one unlicensed Labrador was seized but later released after the fine was paid. Some individuals fled with their dogs, while others had the required licenses and vaccination cards. Animal welfare officer Dr. Abhinav Verma noted that pet licenses can be obtained at the LMC office or online to prevent fines.
