Louisville police investigate road rage attack on woman with child in car

wfaa.com —

Louisville police are investigating a road rage attack caught on video, in which a woman was struck with a metal steering-wheel lock while her 1-year-old child was in the vehicle. The incident occurred on Sept. 30 near Preston Highway and Grade Lane. The victim, Tenaya Stanford, said a motorcyclist followed her, blocked her in traffic, and attacked her. Police have identified the other person involved but have not named them publicly. Investigators are working with the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office to determine appropriate charges. Louisville officials condemned the violence, with Mayor Craig Greenberg stating there is no excuse for physical attacks. Police noted Kentucky law generally requires a warrant for misdemeanor arrests not witnessed by an officer, and the investigation remains ongoing.
