Lottery Millionaires Donate Art and Piano to Hospital Where Wife Worked
British couple John and Lucy Worringham, who won £3.9 million in the National Lottery, returned to a Devon hospital where Lucy worked as a nurse for 27 years to donate art and a piano to its dementia ward. The couple, who won in May 2025, joined seven other lottery winners from southwest England for a volunteer day at the hospital. Lucy, 48, said the ward holds a special place in her heart, while John, 58, hoped the donations would bring smiles to patients. The Worringhams used part of their winnings to move into a larger home and gave £430,000 to friends and relatives, investing £1.5 million for future income. Other winners, including Taryn and Grant Hawkes from Cornwall, also participated in the volunteer day.
