Longmont sets record high temperature of 73 degrees on February 3
Longmont set a record-high temperature of 73 degrees on February 3, surpassing the previous record of 70 degrees from 1934. This marked the highest temperature recorded for that date in the city's history. A cold front moved in on Tuesday, dropping temperatures to the 40s by mid-morning. Former meteorologist Dave Larison noted that such temperature fluctuations have occurred before in Longmont. Larison stated that the record high does not indicate a long-term trend, as the city has experienced similar weather patterns in the past. The highest temperature ever recorded in February remains 79 degrees, set in 1932.
