Longer walks are more beneficial for heart health than frequent short strolls, according to a new study. Researchers tracked 33,560 adults for eight years, finding that bouts of 15 minutes or more yielded the best health outcomes and lowest risk of heart disease. Even with the same total daily steps, longer walks were associated with better heart health and reduced mortality risk compared to very short bursts.
