Log Cabin Republicans drop 'T' from mission to back Trump's transgender rollback

Group president Ross Hemminger stated the transgender movement "has ceased focusing on adults" and targets minors, echoing Trump's rhetoric. He criticized schools teaching "radical gender ideology" and supported bans on gender reassignment treatments for minors. LGBTQ Nation called his comments "untrue and inflammatory," while the Human Rights Campaign warned that splitting the community is what "anti-equality forces want." The move follows Trump's sweeping bans targeting transgender Americans since returning to office in 2025. His administration has recognized only two sexes and sought to exclude transgender athletes from female sports. The group says its membership remains open to all conservatives and allies.
