Locals halt soil extraction near Nedumkunnu hill's drinking water reservoir

Locals stopped soil extraction from a private property at the foothills of Nedumkunnu hill. Residents allege the soil is being removed under the guise of construction, near a drinking water reservoir, and that previous removals for housing were not followed by actual construction. Nedumkunnu hill, also known as Pandavankunnu, is a significant hill in Adoor taluk with tourism development plans, making the soil extraction a concern for its future.
