Life in Svalbard offers warmth and beauty in a remote Arctic setting

Cecilia Blomdahl, a photographer living in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, shares her experiences in one of the world's most remote places. Despite harsh conditions, many find beauty in the environment, with long periods of polar night and midnight sun affecting daily life. Svalbard faces climate change threats, warming six times faster than the global average. Despite this, residents report high life satisfaction.
