Actor Liev Schreiber has joined the documentary "Once Upon a Time in Ukraine" as an executive producer. The film, directed by Betsy West, focuses on how Ukrainian children cope with the trauma of war through creativity and resilience. Schreiber, who has Ukrainian roots, co-founded BlueCheck Ukraine to support humanitarian efforts in the country. He has previously worked on other Ukraine-related documentaries, including "Ukrainians in Exile" and "Rule of Two Walls." The film features stories of children like Ivanna, Ruslan, and Maksym, highlighting their artistic pursuits amid the ongoing conflict. It recently had an exclusive showing in New York, with plans for wider distribution.
