Libya opposes forced migrant deportations to its territory
Libya has strongly rejected plans to forcibly deport migrants to its territory, vowing to resist such actions. Khaled al-Mishri, head of Libya's High Council of State, made the announcement. Al-Mishri stated Libya would oppose forced deportations, potentially including mobilization if necessary. He emphasized Libya would not accept anyone on its soil against their will, regardless of the country of origin. This follows reports of potential U.S. plans to deport migrants to Libya, which Libya's government has denied. Libya's national security committee oversees migration, aiming for migrants to return home.
