Leopard captured at BVFCL plant after two weeks of sightings in Dibrugarh
A leopard that had been causing fear at the Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Limited (BVFCL) in Dibrugarh was captured by forest officials on Saturday. The animal had been seen for two weeks, prompting safety concerns among workers. Officials used traditional trapping methods to capture the leopard, ensuring the safety of both employees and the animal. Crowds gathered to see the caged leopard, requiring security to manage onlookers. The leopard will undergo a health assessment before being released into Joypur National Park. This release aims to provide a safe habitat away from human settlements.
