Lebanon files complaint against Israel at UN over deadly pager explosions
Lebanon has filed a complaint against Israel at the U.N.’s labor organization over deadly explosions involving pagers. The blasts in mid-September killed at least 37 people and injured over 3,000, with the Lebanese government blaming Israel. Lebanese Labor Minister Moustafa Bayram stated that the casualty count may exceed 4,000. He emphasized that the use of everyday objects as weapons poses a serious threat to civilian safety and violates international humanitarian law. Bayram's complaint aims to highlight the dangers faced by workers during the attacks. An ILO spokeswoman noted she was not aware of the complaint or potential outcomes.
