Lawyers challenge court's jurisdiction in Abu Trica's extradition case

Lawyers for Frederick Kumi, known as Abu Trica, have challenged the court's jurisdiction in his extradition case. The defense argues the proceedings should be heard in a court with territorial jurisdiction based on the arrest location, citing legal acts. The judge, however, asserted her jurisdiction. The case was adjourned to January 13, 2026, to consider a formal application on the jurisdictional issue. Bail was denied for all three accused.
