Lawrence Bishnoi acquitted in 2011 Mohali student assault case

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was acquitted on Friday in a 13-year-old assault case involving a Khalsa College student in Mohali. The case stemmed from an incident on February 5, 2011, where he allegedly entered the student's home and assaulted him. In a separate development, seven alleged shooters linked to Bishnoi's gang were arrested across multiple states. These arrests are connected to recent violent incidents, including a shooting outside Bollywood star Salman Khan's home and the murder of ex-Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. Additionally, Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence's brother, has been placed on the National Investigation Agency's most-wanted list. The agency has offered a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to his arrest.
